Payton Thompson,13, a Carmel Middle School 8th grader, is thankful for the opportunity to be an MPBT Youth Ambassador. She loves performing ballet for the experience, and loves to add a little spark to the holiday season. She is inspired by Mara Kahorva, a Russian ballerina who studied at Vaganova, and also finds inspiration in local ballerinas like Norah Takahara and Cecilia Yu. She wants younger dancers performing in the Nutcracker to know that others' opinions should not affect how you feel. You just need to have confidence!
