Shayla Bulich, 11, a Pacific Grove Middle School 6th grader, loves ballet because she gets to create something beautiful that she can share with others. She loves sharing a story with others through beautiful movements and facial expressions. She is inspired by Audrey Costa, a college student and former dancer at her studio, who is a beautiful dancer who is also kind and responsible. Shayla hopes to be just as talented a dancer and student as Audrey. She wants the younger dancers performing in the Nutcracker to know that dancing is for fun! Even though ballet is strict, it is about having fun and doing activities with friends.
